The Hall.
When MC Flores came to Enodia, she saw the potential in the half-finished space. She inherited a large room with black walls, a modular stage, surprisingly high-end lighting and sound equipment, and a slightly-furnished backstage area. Unlike Harold, MC didn't see the space as hers to perform in—and perhaps that was why she was able to move through any second-guessing or self-doubt. Better done than perfect.
SPACE
The Hall contains a small, rounded stage with audiences wrapped around it. While it could feature a play or musical, the space is mostly used for solo or small group performances, whether it's one person with an acoustic guitar or a group of friends singing karaoke. The walls in the performing space are painted black, encouraging a modular, black-box feel to the room. Different physical backgrounds are used for different types of events.
Seating is eclectic, and designed to feel free—come and go as you please, bring food, enjoy company with friends. Sometimes, The Hall is open just for a communal space with nothing on stage at all. Come in and eat lunch someplace different! Just make sure to clean up after yourself. This is where extra furniture from around Enodia ends up; no two seats, couches, or tables look or feel the same. Regular guests often have a favorite spot; better get here early if you want the squishy green couch!
What may have once been a small office has been upgraded to a green room and dressing room area. It might also double as storage for various props and backdrops, and features some of the eclectic furniture that didn't quite fit out with the rest of the seating. This is an area for performers to relax and get themselves together before they head out. There is a minifridge.
Before you take your seat for a performance, make sure to check out the art gallery! Featuring a new artist or show every month, The Hall's gallery displays pieces from Enodia residents and beyond. The Hall does not broker or take percentages from any sales, but will connect artists with interested fans upon request.
